Summit Historical Tours offer an in-depth look at historical Breckenridge as guides lead you on a stroll through our downtown, which is listed in the National Historic Register and boasts 245 buildings from earlier days. Take in the Edwin Carter Museum Slide Shows or schedule an historical tour during the winter. For information on tours and to arrange special tours by appointment call 970-453-9022.

Briggle House - 104 North Harris St. - The home has been restored to its 1880' s condition and contains furnishings and artifacts that depict early Breckenridge life.

Barney Ford House Museum - 111 East Washington Ave. - Victorian home and tribute to Barney L. Ford. Barney was the son of a Virginia slave who escaped via the Underground Railroad and achieved success in Breckenridge and throughout the west.

Edwin Carter 1875 Museum -111 North Ridge St. Tour Edwin Carter’s 1875 museum. Known as the "log cabin naturalist" Edwin Carter came to Breckenridge as a miner during the gold rush.

Rotary Snowplow Park - Boreas Pass Rd. at French St. The Park contains a Rotary Snowplow, boxcars, and a restored steam engine.

Valley Brook Cemetery - Airport Rd. at Valley Brook. The historic Victorian cemetery dates back to 1882. The preserved gravestones and ornate iron gates contains some of the earliest art and written history in the Breckenridge.

Main Street Historical Museum . - The museum at 111 S. Main St. is free of charge and open seven days a week from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. 970-453-9022.

Breckenridge Ski Resort - (Nov. 12-April 17) - Open daily from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. The Ski Resort boasts 27 lifts with access to 2,208 acres of skiable terrain and 25 acres of Terrain Park. Located on Peaks 7, 8, 9 and 10 in Breckenridge. 800-789-7669. Snow.com

Breckenridge Recreation Center provides programs and activities for all ages including: tennis, scuba, kayak and swim lessons, first aid instruction, climbing wall, fitness, tot programs, gymnastics, volleyball, basketball, after-school programs, Taekwondo, dance and personal training. 970-453-1734.
